The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly released a former governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano on administrative bail.

An official at the commission confirmed the development.

The embattled former governor was reportedly released on Wednesday evening.

The source said that Obiano’s passport was seized by the anti-graft agency as part of his bail conditions.

Recall that Obiano was nabbed last week Thursday at about 8:30pm by the anti-graft agency at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on his way to the United States of America.
