The meeting which held at the Dora Akunyeili Women Development centre, Awka focused discussion largely on the welfare of the traders, artisans and business owners in the state.

Governor Soludo reassured the traders and transporters on his determination to phased out the old method of indiscriminate collection of revenue in the State.

Governor Soludo also harped on his avowed determination to stamp out the nefarious activities of touts, popularly known as ‘Agberos’ and other criminal elements that have been making life unbearable for the citizens of the State.

At the end of the meeting, both leaders from the informal sector with the Governor agreed on the immediate need to also put an end to the weekly Monday sit-at-home syndrome which has seriously affected the economic activities of the state.

Governor Soludo further assured the informal leaders on his commitment to building a virile, safe and prosperous homeland in Anambra State that will be beneficial to all and sundry.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo also took time out to attend the burial ceremony of late Sir (Dr) Anene Benedict Uzuakpunwa, (Ozombandu 1 of Isuofia), who was born December 1940 and died January 2022 at the ripe age of 82 years.

Governor Soludo later consoled with the family of the deceased and urged them to take solace in the fact that the late Dr Uzuakpunwa lived a fulfilled and successful life deserving of emulation.
