Nnewi United Football Club has emerged the overall winner under the male category in the 2022 Neros Pharmaceuticals, Anambra State Football Association Cup, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
Maureen Madu Kiddies Football Club, Onitsha, also coasted to victory in the female category.
Nnewi United FC defeated Peace FC Awka, with a goal while Maureen Madu Kiddies FC outfoxed Awka Angels FC also with a goal.
The victorious Nnewi United FC went home with prize sum of two Million Naira and a trophy while the runners up, Peace FC got One Million Naira.
Aspire FC came third and received Five hundred thousand naira.
Under the female category, Maureen Madu Kiddies Football Club, Awka received two hundred and fifty thousand naira with a trophy, as Awka Angels went home with One hundred and Fifty thousand naira.
Nnewi United FC and Maureen Madu Kiddies FC will represent Anambra State at the National FA cup coming soon in the male and female categories respectively.
The match is sponsored by the founder Neros Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Poly Emenike and was held at Neros Sports Stadium, Nanka, in Orumba North Local Government Area.
