Nnewi is set to become the entertainment hub of the South-east as Komworld Cinema Centre lands in the city. The biggest in West Africa, Komworld will offer a range of amenities, including movie production and distribution studios, the largest cinema house in Africa with 27 screens, four restaurants, four lounges, two cafes, a Chinese restaurant, indoor games and arcades, as well as an art gallery, among others.
The Komworld Cinema, Leisure & Dining complex, which is scheduled to open to the public in December, is expected to attract visitors from all over the world to Alaigbo and Anambra. The project is the brainchild of Kene Mkparụ, the owner of Komworld and the CEO of FilmHouse Cinemas. Originally from Nnewi but now based in the UK, Mkparụ chose to build his biggest entertainment center in his hometown.
With its impressive range of facilities, including the largest cinema complex on the continent, the Komworld Entertainment Centre will provide a major boost to Nnewi economy.
The opening of the Komworld Entertainment Centre is highly anticipated by residents as the billboards dot every corner of Anambra .
