Governor Chukwuma Soludo has awarded a full scholarship up to PhD level to Miss Chiazo Umeaniba, a student of Maria Regina Model Comprehensive Secondary School, Nnewi, in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement.

The Governor announced the scholarship during the first anniversary celebration of Solution FunCity in Awka, after the student, who scored an impressive 344 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), participated in an entertainment performance at the event.
The scholarship will fund Miss Umeaniba’s education from the university level through the completion of her doctoral studies, underscoring the Soludo administration’s commitment to rewarding excellence and investing in the future of young people in Anambra State.

Speaking during the celebration, Governor Soludo described Solution FunCity as a strategic investment aimed at repositioning Anambra as a leading destination for tourism, leisure and investment. He said the facility is the first of several transformational projects designed to boost the state’s economy and improve the quality of life for residents.
Since its inauguration on June 28, 2025, Solution FunCity has evolved into a major recreational destination for people of all ages. During the peak festive season between late December and mid January, the facility recorded an average of 10,000 visitors daily from within and outside Anambra State, reflecting its growing popularity.

Governor Soludo noted that the success of the project has strengthened investor confidence in Anambra, with increasing interest in large scale developments, including residential estates and industrial cities. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to expanding similar facilities across the state to sustain Anambra’s emergence as a premier destination for tourism and investment.
The Secretary to the State Government and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Solution FunCity, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, commended Governor Soludo’s visionary leadership, describing the facility as a symbol of the dividends of purposeful governance. She thanked Ndi Anambra and other visitors for their continued patronage and support, which has contributed to the success of the facility in its first year.
An emotional Miss Umeaniba expressed profound gratitude to Governor Soludo for the life changing scholarship, describing it as a dream come true and a motivation to pursue greater academic excellence.
The anniversary celebration featured colourful cultural displays, musical performances and a variety of recreational activities, attracting thousands of fun seekers and dignitaries to mark the milestone.
