The CP, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of State Criminal Investigation Department DCP Moses Gana and Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations ACP James Ihiabe, noted that the initiative is particularly important, given the history of security incidents in the School area.

According to him, the Police Command seeks to gather intelligence and insights to inform policing strategies; enhance community trust and confidence in law enforcement.

“It also seeks to access resources and expertise to support policing operations as well as develop joint initiatives to address pressing security concerns,” he added.

Responding on behalf of the Management team, Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ikechebelu lauded the Commissioner’s commitment to security and expressed confidence in his ability to tackle crime in the State, especially within the University community.
