An Anambra Social Entrepreneur, Dr Frank Igbojindu (Akuyienwata Egwu na Okija), the CEO of Akpoazaa Foundation, has donated a solar-powered borehole to the Ubahu community in Okija, Anambra State.
This project, according to the Educational consultant was conceived to provide sustainable and reliable water sources to the residents and address critical water scarcity issues faced by the community.
The inauguration ceremony took place on April 27, 2025 bringing together community leaders, residents, and representatives from the Akpoazaa Foundation.

During the event, Dr Igbojindu emphasized the importance of clean water for health and development, stating, “Access to safe drinking water is a fundamental right. Our goal is to empower communities by providing sustainable solutions that improve their quality of life.”
Igbojindu further stated that the solar borehole was built and donated to the community in memory of his late parents Late Chief Semion and Late Mrs Justina Igbojindu. “This is a significant way of keeping their legacy alive” ,he said.
The solar borehole, equipped with advanced technology, will ensure a consistent water supply while minimizing the environmental impact. This project aligns with the Akpoazaa Foundation’s mission to promote sustainable development and enhance the well-being of underserved communities in Nigeria.
The Solar Borehole was dedicated to God Almighty by Ven Emma Nnodu and Commissioned by High Chief Nwabueze Umeh (CEO Ofiafuluego Foundation). Community leaders expressed their gratitude for the initiative. “This borehole will change our lives. We no longer have to travel long distances for water, and we are thankful to Frank Igbojindu and the Akpoazaa Foundation for their generosity and support,” said Chief Dennis Nwenyi, a member of Otunweobodo in Ubahuagboba community in Okija.
The Akpoazaa Foundation continues to seek opportunities to implement similar projects across various communities, demonstrating a commitment to fostering sustainable development and improving living conditions across Nigeria.
Akpoazaa Foundation has recently in April 17, 2025 awarded over a million naira scholarships to indigenes of Okija in celebration of Dr Sir Ernest Azudialu Obiejesi of Obijackson Group birthday.
