Anambra To Record 200/250 Rainy Days in 2025 – NIMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has projected that Anambra State will experience about 200 to 250 number of rainy day in 2025.

This was contained in the agency’s 2025 Seasonal Climate Prediction, released on Monday.

According to NiMet, other states to record the same amount of rainfall include– Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun, Ebonyi, and Enugu.

States like Rivers,Cross River, Akwa-Ibom, Delta and Lagos will experience the highest number of rainy days in the country ranging from 250 to 290 rainy days, while in the northern region, states such as Niger, Kogi, Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa, Kwara, and the Federal Capital Territory are expected to record between 150 and 200 rainy days.

For states like Sokoto, Katsina, Zamfara, Kano, Jigawa, Yobe, and Borno, rainfall is projected to span between 110 and 150 days in the year.

It also projected that the 2025 rainy season will end between October 6 and December 17 across the country.

The report stated that the end of the season for rain in Anambra and some coastal states are expected to begin from around 23 November to 17 December.
