Fierce and popular Anglican Priest, Rev Canon Lumen Kristy Eboh, of God in Action Adoration Ministry, has declared that the YPP candidate, Sir Paul Chukwuma, shall be the next governor of Anambra State. Rev Canon Eboh made this declaration on Friday night during a vigil that the Deputy Governorship candidate of the YPP, Uzu Okagbue, attended. The God in Action Adoration Ministry is well-known and attended by thousands of worshippers from different parts of Anambra State.
Speaking at the Adoration ground in Agulu, Anaocha local government area of Anambra State on Friday night, the Priest said that the current leadership in Anambra State has driven the state into darkness and that Anambra deserves light. Emphasizing, he maintained that the current government in Anambra State has lost it and has, in consequence, thrown the state into darkness. However, the Priest noted that hope is not lost because Sir Paul Chukwuma and Uzu Okagbue are coming with the fear of God and are going to govern Anambra State with the fear of God and cause the State to shine like a thousand stars. Canon Eboh further undertook a personal attestation on the suitability and character of the YPP candidate and the running mate, assuring worshippers that the YPP team will not disappoint. “Victory is yours”, Canon Eboh insists, as he calls on Uzu Okagbue to address the congregation.
In his brief address, Uzu Okagbue said that he was happy and glad to be at such a gathering of praying Christians. The YPP running mate also maintained that Sir Paul Chukwuma is prepared for governance and that he would govern Anambra State with humility, purpose, and milk of human kindness, which contrasts with the present situation in Anambra State. Okagbue also assured the congregation that instead of overtaxing petty business owners as the current administration does, Sir Paul Chukwuma’s led government will create more businesses and strengthen existing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs across Anambra State, to the jubilation of the congregation. He also assured that insecurity under the incoming administration in Anambra State will be a thing of the past, as opposed to the current experience, where hardly anyone is unaware of a victim of the ongoing insecurity in the state.
Earlier this year, there were reports that Canon Lumen Kristy Eboh endorsed the Anambra governor, Prof. Soludo. However, on Friday, the Priest boldly and emphatically stressed that there will be a change of government in November and that the YPP is poised to take over from Soludo.
