Former Minister of Women Affairs, Barrister Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, has declared her unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
In a video released on Monday, the former minister expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and announced the launch of a new political movement called “Naija Save Nigeria.”
In the statement issued by Musa Abdulrahaman, spokesperson for the “Naija Save Nigeria” initiative, the former Minister explained why she still believes in Tinubu even though she was sacked from office.
She detailed her political journey highlighting how the president stood with her when nobody else did.

Uju explained that she believes that her removal from office by Tinubu is in her best interest and that she knows the president did not remove her from office to hurt her.
She noted that she will continue to stand with Tinubu and mobilize support for him ahead of 2027 election.
The ‘Nija Save Nigeria’ initiative aims to mobilize 10 million Nigerians in support of Tinubu’s return to office, focusing on grassroots engagement and mass sensitization, the statement said.
“President Tinubu has demonstrated his commitment to the progress and development of our nation through his bold policies and unwavering dedication,” Ohanenye stated.
She said the new support group would work to consolidate the President’s achievements and campaign widely to ensure his mandate is renewed.
The “Naija Save Nigeria” campaign plans to operate across all geopolitical zones, promoting national unity and the continuation of Tinubu’s reform agenda.
In the video, Ohanenye also highlighted key achievements of the Tinubu administration and called on Nigerians to support what she described as a path to sustainable development.
