The Anambra State Police Command has announced the arrest of ten suspects in connection with the ongoing investigation into the murder of a kidnapped farmer and royal chief whose lifeless body was recovered last week at Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.

According to a press statement by the Police Public Relations Officer of the State, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the arrests were made on 28th June 2025 by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Awkuzu. The breakthrough follows the discovery of the victim’s body near his piggery farm in Nimo on 23rd June 2025, just days after he was kidnapped by his abductors who demanded and were paid a ransom sum of fifteen million naira for his release.
