Member representing Ayamelum Constituency in the State House of Assembly,Hon. Bernard Udemezue, popularly known as Isi Enyi, has thrown the state into political turbulence after going live on Facebook with what many now describe as the most explosive political revelation of the year.
In the 14-minute video that has since gone viral, Udemezue accused the state governor of meddling with the constitutional powers of the House of Assembly. He alleged that the governor is undermining legislative independence, silencing dissenting voices, and weakening the very institution that ought to serve as a check on executive power.
Udemezue also linked the events of December 2024 ,including the suspicious death of late Justice Azuka,to a deeper political conspiracy.
The honourable member claimed that Justice Azuka was lured to Awka on December 24 under the guise of collecting Christmas rice, only to meet a tragic end.
According to him, the death was connected to an aborted plan to impeach both the Speaker of the House and the Governor just two days earlier.
Meanwhile, the state Assembly According to a report by Radio Nigeria, has summoned Hon. Udemezue to appear before his colleagues to explain himself.
Lawmakers described his statements as damaging, reckless, and unbecoming of a legislator.
