The House member representing Nnewi North Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Augustine Onyekachukwu Ikediorji has dared Prof Soludo to provide details of how he collected N50 million from the governorship candidate of APC, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu before defecting to APC.

Ikediorji made the above statement while reacting to the post made by Governor Soludo’s spokesperson, Amb Adichie Izuchukwu on Facebook alleging that the lawmaker and three others were bought by Prince Ukachukwu “at N50 million per head”.

The governor’s aide made the allegation after four serving state lawmakers openly declared support for Ukachukwu during the inauguration of the Anambra APC governorship election campaign council.

Soludo also claimed that Ikediorji, lately, demanded for funds but was denied, hence his reason for supporting Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.

He added that the lawmakers were paid N30 million upfront and are waiting for a balance of N20 million after November 8.

Responding, Hon Ikediorji said, ”I am shocked Mr. Governor sanctioned this publication that accused me of asking him for money. Coming from the highest office in the land, I need to set the record straight.

“I am among the highest supporter of Mr. Governor in the 8th Assembly, and I started supporting him freely without asking for kobo.

“Barely two months into office, I was specifically instructed to do a press conference by my boss to address the Neni chieftaincy debacle, a copy of what Obi of Onitsha did was sent to me.

“After speaking with MG on the subject matter I refuse to join the chieftaincy brouhaha, and it cost my relationship with my former boss, and I still did not collect kobo.

“I think it’s time for the governor’s official handle to state how much I collected from MG to give APGA the kind of support I gave them since I was elected to office.

“Did I ask MG for a kobo?

“If the answer to the above is no, how come the official handle accused me of collecting from APC?

“The official handle further accused me of demanding for funds lately and I was denied as my reason for supporting another party”

“If they provide evidence of such request from me to Mr. Governor, I will be glad to resign.

“If [the] above never happened, how can the highest office in the land lie against the office that have given them every support to succeed?

“Please find a way to withdraw your false information and allow me do what I think is the right thing in peace.”
