The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has met with the Managing Director/CEO of FGN Power Company (Presidential Power Initiative), Mr. Kenny Anuwe, in Abuja to seek enhanced electricity support for the institution.
During the productive engagement, Prof. Anyaehie outlined his vision for the university and highlighted the critical need for reliable power to improve teaching, learning, and research.
He reaffirmed the university’s readiness to collaborate with FGN Power Company, particularly in efforts to restore and optimize the institution’s solar farm to guarantee steady electricity supply.
In his response, Mr. Anuwe congratulated Prof. Anyaehie on his appointment and assured him of the company’s commitment to supporting UNIZIK’s energy needs.
The visit formed part of the Vice-Chancellor’s official engagements in Abuja, which also included a separate meeting with Senator Patrick Ndubueze.
