Chairman/CEO of the MVNO company, Engr Ken Emeka Nwabueze, who declared the ceremony open at the company’s office, beside Leophine Residency Hotel, along Afor Igwe – Abagana – old Awka Road, Ogidi, enthused that Vitel Wireless had landed in Onitsha to start operations barely three months after launching its nationwide network services in Lagos, noting that the company was happy and proud to emerge as the first MVNO to be launched in Nigeria.

Nwabueze, in a brief speech to unveil the Vitel Wireless SIM card and packages before the capacity audience, explained that the company operates a nationwide network service covering all the 36 States in Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, adding that the company was launching its operations in Onitsha with packages that would enhance the people’s ability to conduct business through communication, especially in a bustling commercial city like Onitsha.

In his own remarks, Vitel’s Chief Operation Officer (COO), Mr. Chudi Nwabueze, assured subscribers of quick and efficient customer, fast data, calls and SMS services, calling on the Network’s customers, including businessmen, captains of industry, importers, market traders, professionals and others in private and public sectors, to identify with Vitel Wireless for enhanced communication experience in the area.

One of the dignitaries at the ceremony, Chief Chima Onwuzurike, commended the CEO and his team for mustering what it took to emerge as the first MVNO company in Nigeria, noting with excitement that the company would improve the local economy while providing jobs for the people, particularly the youth.

To this end, he called on the people, particularly the youth again, to take advantage of the new telecom company and its packages to get something going or to improve on what they are doing already.
