This brings the total monthly wage commitment to N2 million, a move the council described as a deliberate investment in human capital development and youth empowerment in the area.

According to the statement, the appointees include Messrs. Chinonso Okafor, Chukwudi Okafor, Patrick Somtochukwu Anyisia, Emeka Mbanefo, Kosiso Ajuruchukwu, Mbamalu Ubachukwu, Onyekachukwu Edekobi, Chukwuemeka Edekobi, Ekemeje Okechukwu Godwin, Chekwube Mkparu, Tochukwu Emmanuel Agu, and Charles Enuka.

Others are Miss Florence Nwizu, Mrs. Ijeoma Obianyo, Mrs. Chizoba Okoye, Mrs. Ugorji Ifenyinwa, Mrs. Stella Okafor Nkeiru, Mrs. Chioma Ndulue, Miss Chioma Anozie, and Celestine Anakwenze Obumneme.

The statement noted that portfolios will be assigned to the appointees in due course, while the appointments take effect from May 1, 2026.

Describing the initiative as a bold step toward youth inclusion, the council said the gesture underscores its commitment to putting “smiles on the faces of the youths” and advancing grassroots development.

Anakuba congratulated the newly appointed aides and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by contributing meaningfully to the development of the local government area.
