Dr. Nelson Omenugha over the weekend commemorated his 36th birthday, unveiling a toilet facility he renovated for the staff and pupils of Community Central School, Nnobi, in Idemili South local government of Anambra State. The facility which had deteriorated, now wears a new and upgraded look to the excitement of the teachers and students of the school. During the handover, Mr. Nelson was joined by his father, Dr. Michael Omenugha, and later his mother, Professor Kate Omenugha, his little daughter Chihotaram, friends and well-wishers, as well as Rev. Fr. Chike Onwuegbusi.

Dr Nelson also took the time to announce his decision to expand the number of pupils in his scholarship scheme with an additional 40 beneficiaries, moving the total number from 60 to 100 pupils benefiting from his scholarship programme for students of the school. For those in this scholarship scheme, “I remain committed to supporting,” Nelson Omenugha said.

Shortly after, the event shifted to St. Martins Welfare and Orphanage Home, Igbo-Ukwu, where the celebrant shared lunch with the children, elderly, and management of the care facility. Last year, when he marked 35 years, Dr. Nelson Omenugha was also at the Orphanage home to share lunch with them and also made donations towards the management of the facility and towards meeting its set agenda. This year, after the lunch, Dr. Omenugha also donated the sum of N1 million towards the educational trust fund of the children in the facility, and also a live cow towards their feeding. He then thanked the Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, His Eminence, Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpaleke, who was present, for his commitment to the welfare and orphanage home, owned and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia.
