The West African College of Nurses has honoured the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo for his stellar performance in office .
The award was presented to the Governor on Tuesday during the state executive council meeting at the Light House, Awka.
A statement by Commissioner for Information, Anambra State read:
“The West African College of Nurses and the African University of Science and Technology conferred awards on Governor Soludo for stellar performance. The College of Nurses presented an award to the governor for being the governor who employed the highest number of nurses (over 1,350) in Nigeria and for being one of the few states in the country that pays the current salary scale for nurses.
“The African University presented an award to the governor for his dedication to Anambra State’s acquisition of digital skills (more than 260,000 so far) and for designating the former Government House as a tech hub and innovation district,” the statement added.
