Secure babies at car back seat while driving – FRSC urges parents

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Sector Command has advised parents to always secure their babies in the back seat of the car while driving.

 

It also warned using phones while on the road as well as vehicle overloading.

Sector Commander, Corps Commander Bridget Asekhauno gave the warning on Sunday during a church outreach to the Jesus is Alive Church in Eziowelle as part of its efforts to promote road safety and reduce road traffic crashes.

 

Addressing over 1000 worshippers on the topic “Getting to your Destination Safely is in your Hands,” Asekhauno emphasizing that human actions, not spirits, cause crashes.

 

She also urged everyone to obey traffic laws and regulations and to share safety messages with the grassroots.

 

She further highlighted the importance of following road signs and markings, stating that they are meant to guide or warn road users and prevent accidents.

 

The FRSC boss reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to promoting road safety and encouraged everyone to prioritize safety on the highways.

 

Responding, General Overseer, Arch Bishop Dr. Onyekachukwu Nzekwesi commended the FRSC for the enlightenment and encouraged the congregation to obey traffic rules.

 

He prayed for God’s protection over the Sector Commander and staff as they perform their duties, and thanked the FRSC for the valuable enlightenment.

 

The outreach graced by State Coordinator, Special Marshal Michael Ogbusa were in attendance featured distribution of safety flyers and interactive sessions.
