The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is set to visit Anambra State next week, during which time the First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, will empower 5, 000 people across Anambra State under the aegis of Progressives United Against Poverty Initiative, in conjunction with the Renewed Hope Initiative Economic Support Scheme. The visit by Nigeria’s First Lady next week Thursday, September 10, is her first official visit to Anambra State, which underscores Anambra’s close ties with Nigeria’s President and First Lady. In May last year, the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCRF, visited Anambra State to commission key projects executed by the State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR.
During the visit on Thursday by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, she will be empowering people, especially women, in Anambra State as part of her nationwide empowerment network for women. Since becoming Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has empowered thousands of women across Nigeria.
Nigeria’s First Lady, while visiting Anambra State, will also commission the National Community Food Bank Programme of the Renewed Hope Initiative for the Southeast in Anambra State, to enhance and mainstream food security. She will also commission key projects at the Federal Polytechnic Oko, in Orumba North LGA, Anambra State.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s official visit further highlights Governor Soludo’s mantra that progressives are working together, and it also underscores the support of the Government of Anambra State for President Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 Presidential Election.
