In preparation to Anambra Election 2025 and in an attempts to buy over Owelle Onyeka Mbaso and destroy the newly organized Association of Former Political Appointees, deputy governor of Anambra state Dr Ibezim had a meeting with the convener of Former Anambra Political Appointees.
According to AIF Media, a facebook page owned and managed by a political activist Eneh Victor, the meeting held with the Convener of the Former Political Appointees and the Deputy Governor Ibezim was deadlocked.
The meeting of the Former Political Appointees held at Awka few days ago passed a Vote of no confidence on the administration of Prof Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State.
AIF Media categorically maintained that the meeting was an attempt to buy over Owelle Onyeka Mbaso and destroy the newly organized Association of Former Political Appointees owing to the fact that the position of the group led by Owelle Onyeka Mbaso and supported by Nze Uche Nworah was to mobilize against the reelection of Prof Soludo in 2025.
The meeting with the Deputy Governor according to AIF Media started at about 11pm at night and lasted till 2am but agreement wasn’t reached.
It was based on this that the Deputy Governor appealed to the leaders of the Former Political Appointees to come back at a later date to enable him inform the governor of their position.
The group has continued to insist that they must be paid their severance package before any truce can be reached. And failure to do so, will cause Nwa Mgbafor his second term bid.
They finally agreed that they would meet with the governor with expanded members of the group for a final resolution.
