Civil Liberties Organization CLO Anambra State has decried with great disdain barbaric, insensate, inhumane and despicable purported killing of Onitsha based trader at Patent Pharmaceuticals Market,Head Bridge Onitsha Mr Arinze Obunadike of Umezulu Umuohi,Okija in Ihiala L.G by Special Anambra State Anti-Touting Squad on Friday 16th February 2024.

This is contained in a press statement issued to newsmen endorsed by Evangelist Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme and Comrade Chidi Mbah chairman and secretary respectfully tagged “if gold rust, what will happen to iron”lamented that “if the citadel of justice is corrupt what will happen to the body politics”.
Similarly if those saddled with the responsibility of protecting, serving and caring for citizenry became threat, nightmare and problems to the citizens the future will be very bleak and unbearable.

It will be recall that CLO during the inauguration of Special Anambra State Anti-Touting Squad advised them to be civil,decorum,law-abiding and patriotic while discharging their duties.

CLO equally calls on State government to ensure training and retraining of personnel to ensure strict compliance on government mandate and rules of engagement

We calls for discreet and indepth investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding the dastardly killing of 34 years old hapless trader and ensure that perpetrators were brought to book to face the full wrath of the law to act as deterrent to others.
