The event which was a prime gathering of the creme de la creme of Ndi Anambra witnessed conferment of Special Award; Distinguished Anambra State Grand Commander Medal to selected Men and Women who have made visible impact in their various fields and most importantly, towards the development of the state.
The august event saw the decoration of Anambra’s bests including Chief Austin Oguejiofor (Onwa Enugwu Ukwu n’Umunri, Okutalukwe Aguleri) who was recognized by the State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, Akpokuedike for his outstanding entrepreneurial drive, particularly in the area of real estate Development across Nigeria, and mainly in Anambra State where his company, Rotech Energy Services Ltd is developing a unique City at the outskirts of Onitsha Metropolis, Anambra Luxury Place Estate situated in Nkwelle Ezunaka which work has advanced deeply far.
In his response to the Great Award bestowed on him, Chief Austin Oguejiofor showered encomium on the outgoing Governor and described him as a Champion of integrated development who has transformed Anambra State with enduring infrastructure like the International Conference Center, Anambra International Cargo Airport, Anambra Stadium and even in the area of human capital development which will never be forgotten.
Similarly, Chief Oguejiofor eulogized the wife of the Governor Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, Osodieme for her own outstanding accomplishments in the area of human development, caring for the indigent and widows and capacity development.
Continuing, Chief Oguejiofor prayed God to grant the 1st family all their heart desires as they gloriously leave the services of Anambra State.
Highpoint of the occasion was the commissioning of the 10,000 seating capacity of the state of the International convention center and presentation of award and medals to deserving Anambra people.
