This is two years of Professor Charles Soludo as Governor of Anambra State.
At this halfway point, two out of four years, through his tenure, Ndi Anambra have a decision to make.
Is Governor Soludo Passing and Doing well?
Is Governor Soludo “just another Governor” with an Average Score Card?
Or, has Governor Soludo failed entirely?
His scores on the above ratings is the big decision for Ndi Anambra leading up to the next governorship election.
To be fair to him, and to Ndi Anambra, we must go back to 18 years ago, on March 17, 2006 when the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) came into governance in Anambra State.
The first eight of those APGA years (with few months of “Impeachment” interference) belonged to Mr. Peter Obi, as governor.
After that, the next APGA 8 years, belonged to Chief Willie Obiano as governor.
In the past two years, it has been Professor Charles Soludo, as Governor of Anambra State.
Since it has been 18 continuous years of APGA in the governance of Anambra State, where Mr. Peter Obi, at the end of his eight years; selected, elected and handed Chief Obiano to Ndi Anambra.
And, Chief Obiano, in turn, at the end of his own 8 years, also selected, elected and handed Professor Charles Soludo as Governor to Ndi Anambra.
Given the above, it would be incomplete to score and rank Professor Soludo without looking at how he came to become Governor of Anambra State; where he came from; his baseline mark, as in what he met on ground when he came.
Ndi Anambra must consider 18 consecutive years of APGA stewardship, rather than attempt to isolate just two years to score and rank APGA’s stewardship.
That would not be correct.
This is important because Professor Soludo is the third consecutive APGA governor of Anambra State.
If Governor Soludo has done well in his two years, what is the comparative analysis; point-to-point, issue-to-issue, program points-to-program points, campaign promises-to-campaign promise, etc. when compared to the previous 16 years?
If Governor Soludo is just an average governor, or has not done well, again, what is the comparative relationship of his stewardship to what he met on ground?
Ndi Anambra need to know.
