Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, Anambra State Governor has sworn in 20 of the 21 nominated commissioners.
The 21 nominated Commissioners were officially sworn in by the Governor after being administered with the oaths of allegiance and office respectively at Government House, Awka.
Addressing the newly sworn in Commissioners, Governor Soludo charged them to discharge their responsibilities with commitment and dedication.
He said the process that brought them to office, may appear very unusual because all the Commissioners were sought out from the gamut of applicants who indicated interest in the job via the talent hunt recruitment process.
He said this was deliberate because the government was looking for people with integrity, passion and commitment to serve the people of Anambra State.
The Governor further reminded the Commissioners to always the remember the weight demands of the oaths they have taken to serve Anambra people.
He advised them to keep’ an eye on the ball’ and key-in into the ‘Soludo Solution, People’s Manifesto’, which according to the Governor, is the social contract the government has with the good people of Anambra State.
He noted that their appointment is a call to duty because the challenges are humongous. At the same time he challenged them to make a difference in the various Ministries assigned to them by working harmoniously with others.
Amongst the Commissioners and Special Adviser sworn in, include: Hon. (Barr) Pauly Onyeka, Commissioner for Housing, AVM Ben Chiobi, Special Adviser on Security
Others who witnessed the occasion include: Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim; Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi; Deputy Chief of Staff/Chief Protocol, Hon Chinedu Nwoye (Glamour) including Spouses, family members, friends and well-wishers of the newly sworn in Commissioners.
