A gospel music icon, Sister Chinyere Udoma has buried her father, Nze Donatus Onwelani (Onowu Nzenweofor) in Eziama village Nnokwa, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
The burial ceremony commenced with a requiem mass presided over by the Parish Priest St Mary’s Catholic Church Nnokwa, Reverend Father Johnbosco Ezika flanked by other indigenous priests.
Popular comedian and a Nollywood actor Chief Imo and other dignitaries in the entertainment industry also graced the occasion.
In their testimonies, Sister Chinyere Udoma who is Nze Donatus Onwelani’s second daughter and Mr Ndubuisi Nzenweofor, the third son of the diseased described their father’s demise as an irreparable loss. Speaking at the funeral, the second son of the deceased, Emeka, described their father as a contented man who loved all his children equally.
According to the Emeka, “Papa dispensed honest advice freely and his words were full of wisdom and truth. He never followed the crowd as he looked at issues from the angle of the persons involved and peculiar facts of the matter.
The family assured to continue his legacy of love, unity, peace and humility. Nze Donatus Onwelani aged 92year.
