Designed to deliver high-octane performances, immersive brand moments, and a vibrant cultural showcase, the Big Weekend Xperience once again lived up to its reputation—captivating residents of Awka and neighboring communities who consider Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar a must-visit relaxation hub.

For many fun lovers, including Miss Amara Silver Moon, the event was a memory-studded night filled with laughter, live music, dancing, and that irreplaceable joy of hanging out with friends and loved ones.

The Anambra-born Funny Bone set the night ablaze with humor and nostalgia. At one point, he took the crowd on a time-travel through iconic old-school songs urging guests to sing along.

The result was a heartwarming chorus of voices, laughter, and gleeful surprise that left the audience beaming.

To crank up the excitement, Nigerian Breweries unveiled highlife sensation and “One One B” hit-maker Onyeze Nwa Amobi, whose electrifying performance had the crowd screaming for encore after encore.

As expected, Abakiliki Street buzzed with life, with nearby bars cashing in on the massive turnout—thanks to Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar bringing the Big Weekend Xperience to Awka for an impressive third consecutive year.

Guests indulged in a mouthwatering spread of delicacies, including barbecue, roasted chicken, ugba, abacha, fresh palm wine, vegetable snail, peppered goat meat, stockfish, chicken-vegetable delicacies, and more—a true feast for lovers of good food.

The night also featured exciting raffle draws conducted by Nigerian Breweries Limited (NBL). Many attendees went home jubilant with prizes ranging from refrigerators and plasma televisions to cartons of Life Lager Beer and a wide array of instant giveaways.

During the prize-presentation segment, Mazi Ndubuisi Eze, Managing Director of Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Big Weekend Xperience team for choosing his establishment yet again as host.

In his closing remarks, Mazi Eze reaffirmed the bar’s dedication to excellence:

“We are not going to stop serving you or giving you that unique experience you crave. Even greater things are coming. Our partnership with Nigerian Breweries is a blessing we deeply appreciate. Thank you so much for always coming around.”

He also announced that Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar will celebrate its 10th anniversary in January marking a decade of successful operations on Abakiliki Street.

As part of the upcoming festivities, he revealed that starting Thursday, 27th November, the bar will host its annual New Yam Festival, treating customers to free roasted yam, plantain, and ukpaka.

The New Yam Festival running from Thursday to Sunday will showcase exhilarating performances by Ausuma Malaika, Eze York, and a lineup of other talented artists.

According to Uche Ndeke, Media Director of Nwoke Udi Palmwine Bar, DJ Banks and Hypeman Silent Talkative will also be on ground throughout the festival, keeping the atmosphere charged with energetic music and unforgettable vibes.
