I didn’t go into comedy because of poverty – FunnyBone

Popular Anambra comedian, Stanley Chibunna, also known as Funnybone, has stated that he wasn’t driven to his craft because of poverty, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.

In a recent interview, the comedian shared his entertainment journey, most especially his comedy.

He said contrary to some comedian’s stories about what inspired them into making jokes, he said it has always been his passion.

The comedian turned actor said he had always wanted to be an actor and comedian.

He gave props to some comedians who paved the way for him. Comedians like BasketMouth, AY Makun, Opa Williams, Julius Agwu and many others.

When asked if poverty drove him into comedy, he said, “No, mine was not because of poverty. I knew it was what I wanted to do right from the onset.

“I just followed my dream. I always knew I would study Theatre Arts in school.”
