Ex Governor Willie Obiano and current Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim on Saturday April 16, 2022, graced the holy solemnization between Mr. Nonso Emeka and Miss Jenifer Oguora, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
The groom, Nonso is the son of the traditional ruler of Umueri in Anambra East Local government area, Igwe Ben Emeka. The Archbishop, Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim presided over the event, with other Bishops of the Anglican Communion.
Friends and well wishers came from far and near to be witnesses to the wedding ceremony that took place at the Anglican Church of Pentecost Awka, Solemnizing the holy matrimony, Archbishop Ibezim prayed God to unite them evermore in his love, strengthen them with every good gift and give them peace and urged them to be faithful to the vows and covenants they made to each other.
In a sermon, the Bishop Anglican Diocese of Afikpo, Rt. Reverend Paul Udogu who noted that marriage was instituted by God for the good of man ,advised the couple to accommodate each other, make adjustments where necessary and make decisions together, reminding them that marriage is a journey of faith, acceptability, companionship and appreciation.
Welcoming the guests, the father of the groom and the traditional ruler of Umueri, Igwe Sir Benneth Emeka thanked all who came to celebrate with his family and prayed for God’s blessings on them.
The wedding ceremony was well attended by who is who in the society including both serving and former commissioners, senators, government functionaries, industrialists and clergy men.
