A world class Cardiology Facility, built by Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation will be unveiled at Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital Oraifite on 12th May, 2022, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
Addressing journalists during a town hall meeting at the hospital, the Media Consultant to Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation, Sir Oseloka Offoh hinted that the hospital that will cater for all types of surgeries which is a big boost to Nigeria’s medical tourism and medical hope for the people of southeast.
According to Sir Oseloka, the facility employed highly skilled medical experts in Cardiology and Nephrology adding that the world class facility was to immortalize the mother of the founder, Dame Irene Okwuosa.
He further explained that the hospital before now held medical fair with more than thousands receiving free drugs, clinical examinations, outdoor checkups and provision of critical health intervention drugs to health centers, referral and teaching hospitals.
The manager, Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital, Mr. Aghomishe Ogaga revealed that about twenty people have registered for the open-heart surgery scheduled to take place from second to fourteenth May 2022 adding that the hospital will also carry out kidney transplant, dialysis and surgery on tumor usually considered inoperable by hospitals around.
The Hospital Project Manager, Mr. Emmanuel Ilomuanya, took newsmen round various facilities in the hospital including Digital Cath Lab, High Definition 128 Slides CT scan, Digital X-ray systems, Direct on Bed Oxygen Delivery, Automated Ventilators, ICU unit, state of the art theatres and Oxygen Producing Plant house.
The hospital Radiographer, Mr. Emmanuel Mbanefo, Jude Ebere and Mr. Ogaga took time to explain the functions of some of the machines at the hospital which also has doctors and nurses quarters.
