Anambra’s Ezeafulukwe Appointed Abuja Electricity Distribution Company CEO.

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has a new managing director and chief executive, Mr. Christopher Ezeafulukwe.

The new MD/CEO, who took over the running of the AEDC on September 1, 2023, was named following the acquisition of 60% stake in AEDC by Transcorp-led investors.

At a ceremony held at the AEDC headquarters in Abuja, Friday, the outgoing MD/CEO, Engr. Adeoye Fadeyibi, expressed his commitment to that the AEDC will take its rightful position in the Nigerian power sector by improving the performance of the company as it relates to its customers and other stakeholders.

Ezeafulukwe joined the Transcorp Power board in March 2019 and holds an LL. B. degree from the University of Lagos, a B.L (second class upper division) from the Nigerian Law School, an LL. M from the University of Lagos and another LL. M in Energy, Environmental & Natural Resources Law from the University of Houston, Texas.
He is an alumnus of Lagos Business School and IESE Business School, Spain. A member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN), as well as the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN).

He was until recently a member of the Executive Council of the Association of Power Generation Companies.
