Rotary Club of Onitsha Metropolis has empowered four traders of small scale businesses in Onitsha, Anambra State.
President, Rtn Oby Arinze during the training said the beneficiaries were provided with financial support and training.
She said the empowerment was a demonstration of the group’s passion for creating economic opportunities for the traders, improving their livelihoods and those of their families, as well as contributing to economic growth and development of the community.
She said, “October is Economic and Community Development Month in Rotary International, and the Rotary Club of Onitsha Metropolis is proud to be part of it.
“Today, we empowered four traders of small scale businesses in our community by providing them with financial support and training.
“We believe that economic growth starts at the grassroots level, and by supporting small businesses, we can create a ripple effect of prosperity in our community.
“We are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of others and passionate about creating economic opportunities for all.
“We believe that every individual deserves the chance to succeed and thrive, regardless of their background or circumstances.
“By supporting small scale businesses, we are not only improving the livelihoods of the traders and their families but also contributing to the economic growth and development of our community.”
