Wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has been named the winner of the 2025 First Lady of the Year in Healthcare and Child Support award at the prestigious Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine.
The recognition follows a nationwide nomination and public voting process that attracted thousands of participants, including citizens and humanitarian advocates across Nigeria.
Presented by the Humanitarian Achievement and Outreach Foundation, the award honours Soludo’s impactful work through her flagship programme, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo.
The initiative champions community health awareness, maternal and child care, nutrition education, and targeted support for underserved families in both rural and urban areas of the state.

In an official statement on Tuesday, Emmanuel Anabueze, Founder and Convener of the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards, commended Soludo for her compassionate leadership and hands-on approach to improving lives.
Anabueze noted that she received a significant majority of the public votes, underscoring the broad reach and relevance of her efforts.
“Her dedication to fostering healthier families and empowering women with practical, sustainable tools for well-being has earned her national respect and solidified her place in this competitive category,” Anabueze said.
Soludo will be formally honoured at the awards ceremony scheduled for Friday, Aug. 22, at the Nicon Luxury Hotel in Abuja.
She will join a select group of visionary leaders, advocates, and changemakers recognized for shaping Nigeria’s humanitarian sector.
The 2025 edition of the awards aims to celebrate outstanding service, compassion, and contributions to national development—with Soludo standing out as one of the year’s most inspiring figures.
