Anambra Land Dispute: Developer Petitions AIG, Calls for Protection Of His Life, Property

Chief Chinedu Emmanuel, owner of Majestic Luxury Estate, Ifite Nteje, Oyi Local Area of Anambra State has asked the Police authorities to secure and save his life and structures on the disputed land at Ifite, Nteje.

In a petition he sent to Assistant Inspector -General of Police (AIG), Zone 13 Ukpo, Anambra, through his lawyer, Jude Onyejegbu of J.A.Onyejegbu Chambers & Co, asked the Police to forestall the breakdown of law and order at the premises of Majestic Luxury Estate, Ifite Nteje and likely loss of lives by calling the suspects to order.

He also requested that some Police officers should be assigned to the place to ward -off the suspects and their collaborators /thugs from the Estate as well as guard his structures.

Mr Chinedu equally asked the Police to arrest and prosecute the suspects for their criminal acts, if the investigation discloses a prime-facie case against the suspects.

Said Chinedu’s lawyer: “Our client,since the year 2018 has been in possession of the property,
known as Majestic Luxury Estate Ifite Nteje originally made up of 250 plots of land, our client purchased from the accredited representatives of Nteje community”
In 2021, Onyejegbu said, Majestic Luxury Estate, Ifite, Nteje was extended to include an additional 500 plots of land which their client purchased from the accredited representatives of Nteje community.

He said in January 2025,Mr.Stanley Uzo,Mr.Obinna Henry Emenogu and other members of Igwebuike Estate Ifite Nteje,who he hereinafter referred to as the suspects,started to lay claim over their client’s said Majestic Luxury Estate Ifite, Nteje.
“It is our instruction that following a failed attempt by the Anambra State House of Assembly to reconcile the parties,the suspects armed with a
Resolution of the Anambra State House of Assembly declaring the
Suspects to be the owners of the disputed Estate,have finalised plans to invade the Estate with armed thugs to drive away our clients from the Estates for the suspects to take over”.
