The Homeland Alumni Body of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has extended its warmest congratulations to Prof. Kate Omenugha on her confirmation as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the institution.
In a statement signed by Engr. Sir Onyebuchi Onwuteaka, the alumni association praised the Visitor to the University and Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for affirming Prof. Omenugha’s appointment.
The alumni body noted that Prof. Omenugha’s emergence is both symbolic and strategic, given her wealth of experience and knowledge in public service, administration, teaching, and research. They expressed optimism in her capacity to steer COOU to greater heights and place the institution on a global map.
The statement also commended the University Governing Council and the Executive Governor of Anambra State for their unbiased decision in affirming Prof. Omenugha’s appointment. The alumni association pledged to partner, support, and cooperate with her administration in consolidating her initiatives to make the University a pride of the nation.
