Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi has criticized the security operatives in Nigeria for profiling Nigerian youths, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.
Obi during a recent interview, lamented about the fate of Nigerian youths in the hands of security operatives who are in the habit of harassing them any time they see them with laptop.
According to Obi, a Nigerian youth stands the risk of going to jail just because of holding a laptop.
Obi stated this while speaking on ‘The Morning Show program on Arise TV.
He argued that while youths in other countries are being given laptops, youths found with laptop at any security checkpoint in Nigeria are being treated as criminals by the Nigerian security authorities.
In his words;
“If you have a laptop in this country now and you are a young man, you could go to jail”
