Sir Paul Chukwuma, the leading aspirant for the governorship seat of Anambra State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress – APC, has inaugurated his Primary Campaign Council. This inauguration is the climax of a three-day strategic engagement held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, with resource persons.
Barely two months ago, Mr. Chukwuma inaugurated his Manifesto Committee, whose work has now reached an advanced stage. With the primary election of political parties for the Anambra gubernatorial election now counting in months, the team so constituted, which is made up of quality, active, and experienced players, it would appear, now has a clear focus and an agenda ahead of the APC’s primary election and then the General Election.
In the campaign team are; Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, a former member of the House of Representatives and he is the Director General of the campaign. Chief Uzuegbuna Okagbue, Harvard-trained leadership expert and former Chief of Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to Anambra’s ex-governor, is the Deputy Director General, for Anambra Central. Chief Jude Osude is the Deputy Director General for the Anambra South zone, while Hon. Ralph Okeke, an experienced legislator, is the Deputy Director General for the Anambra North zone. Meanwhile, Barrister C.J Chinwuba, a prominent lawyer, was inaugurated as the Campaign Council’s Secretary.
Other members of the Campaign Council are; Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba, PhD, an experienced banker and former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Burundi, the Director of Finance. Also, Chief Dr. Uche Nworah, seasoned media practitioner and former Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, was inaugurated as the team’s Director of Media and Communications. Hon. Hilary Udeanu, is the Director of Security, while Mr. Ifeanyi Njelita a refined former protocol director with the Government of Anambra State, is the Director of Protocol. Hon. Chinedu Eluemunoh, a former member of the House of Representatives, is the Director of Contact and Mobilization. Chief Dr. Tony Onyima, a vast media practitioner and former Commissioner in Anambra State, is the Director of Research and Documentation. Meanwhile, Mr. James Eze, an experienced media practitioner and popular poet, who served as the Chief Press Secretary to the former Governor of Anambra State is the campaign’s Spokesman. Hon. Emeka Anohu, former state and federal lawmaker is the Director of Chieftaincy and Town Union Matters. Similarly, Hon. Chinedu Nnatuanya is the Director of Strategy, Planning and Monitoring. A former federal lawmaker, Hon. Forte Dike was named the Campaign Council’s Political Adviser.
During the inauguration, Sir Paul Chukwuma charged members of the Council to go and get the work done; affirming that a team of such high flyers assembled for quality leadership is a group that is destined to make Anambra State proud.
