After his graduation, he was employed by a company in Lagos where his brilliance and intelligence was easily spotted.

Ubosi’s foray into media began when the company he was working for applied for a broadcast license in 2008 following deregulation in the media industry. With 12 years of experience in another media house, he was well-equipped to run his own media venture.

Megalectrics, his company was born, and with it, four radio brands: The Beat FM, Classic FM, Naija FM, and Lagos Talks. Each station caters to a specific niche audience, from contemporary youth to mature listeners and local language enthusiasts.

According to him, the success of his company could be attributed to its research-driven approach and dedicated team.

“Everything we do is research-based,” he said. With no bank loans, the company has thrived through prudent financial management and investment in technology.

Ubosi has equally given credits to his staff for their dedication and multitasking abilities, saying, “More than half of our staff have been here for over 10 years.”

In one of his interviews, Ubosi stated that private broadcasting has revolutionized the entertainment industry, providing outlets for Nigerian music and talent.

He said ;”the media is the reason why the entertainment industry is successful and Megalectrics has played a significant role in promoting local music, with stations like Naija FM and The Beat FM showcasing African rhythms and beats”.

On regulating social media, Ubosi has urged for more careful content moderation by aggregators. He also charged government to support the entertainment industry through funding and tax breaks.

While advising aspiring entertainers, he urged for perseverance and dedication, cautioning against overnight success.

When asked how he unwinds, Ubosi revealed his passion for work and tennis. His loyalty to Arsenal Football Club keeps him engaged and energized.
